The problem Rescue Edition solves

When an animal is adopted from a rescue, their care history often doesn't come with them. Medical records get emailed as PDFs, vaccination records get printed and lost, and the adopter starts from scratch with no visibility into what care has already been given.

Rescue Edition is built to fix that. Rescues track care throughout the animal's stay. When adoption happens, that history transfers directly into the adopter's PetCareScore account — intact, organized, and immediately useful.

Pet care shouldn't reset at adoption.

The adopter receives an invitation to claim the animal. Accepted — the full care history moves into their account.

Yes. Rescue Edition is free for approved organizations. It is not a free trial — it is a dedicated access tier for qualifying rescue use cases, subject to application and approval.
How does the Transfer Pet workflow work?+
When a rescue animal is adopted, the rescue can initiate a Transfer Pet request. The adopter receives an invitation to claim the animal's care history into their own PetCareScore account. This preserves medical records, care notes, and history without requiring the rescue to manually share documents.
What happens to the animal's care history after transfer?+
The transferred care history becomes part of the adopter's account. The rescue no longer manages that profile. The adopter receives a complete view of the animal's history from intake through adoption.
