1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PetCareScore ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, free plan users, and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

PetCareScore is a structured pet care organization and tracking platform. It allows users to manage pet profiles, track care routines, store records, log observations, and monitor care consistency through a Pet Care Score. PetCareScore is not a veterinary service and does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

PetCareScore offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly basis. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize PetCareScore to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to PetCareScore, including pet profiles, journal entries, care records, and uploaded files. By submitting content, you grant PetCareScore a limited license to store and display that content for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not violate applicable laws or the rights of third parties.

6. Pet Care Score Disclaimer

The Pet Care Score is a care consistency metric based on the activity you log within the Service. It is not a medical assessment, health rating, or veterinary recommendation. A high score does not guarantee your pet's health, and a low score is not a diagnosis. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical advice.

7. Shared Access and Caregivers

Family plan subscribers may invite caregivers or family members to access their account with limited permissions. The account owner is responsible for all activity performed by invited users. PetCareScore is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from shared credentials or caregiver misuse.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute any content from the Service without permission
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or harmful code
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

9. Medical Disclaimer

PetCareScore is a care organization and consistency tracking tool. It is not a veterinary service and does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. The Pet Care Score is a care consistency metric, not a health rating or medical assessment. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's health concerns.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of PetCareScore — including but not limited to the Pet Care Score framework, design, text, graphics, and software — are owned by PetCareScore and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

11. Termination

PetCareScore reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data prior to termination by contacting support.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetCareScore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. PetCareScore's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to PetCareScore in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to Terms

PetCareScore may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
